Exchange of Gazes
“Exchange of Gazes” is an interactive photo installation exploring the relationship between images, space, and viewer. The project consists of a collection of small-format black and white film photographs arranged on a wall in a living space.
Each visitor becomes an active participant in the project, with the opportunity to take home a photograph of their choice, provided they engage in an exchange – either by posing for a new portrait or by contributing their own photographic work.
An accompanying zine catalog documents the collection with detailed descriptions, providing additional context and depth to the appreciation of the works.
Project Rules

A photograph only truly lives when it’s being seen. This project gives images new life in the hands of strangers, creating individual stories for each print.
The wall becomes a living organism, constantly changing with visitors’ choices. Each empty space bears witness to a dialogue that has taken place between creator and viewer.
In an era of digital oversaturation, the physical exchange of photographs returns us to the tactility and materiality of the image, transforming it into an artifact carrying emotional value.
