Birth of ideas
creation of an object in the Corner concept store on Vozdvizhenskaya Street
I had to implement an installation idea for a store that sells works by young designers. The idea – the process of giving birth to something new, a multitude of small ideas.
I was responsible for the technical implementation of the idea. I had to find a way to securely attach a couple of hundred toy dolls to the wall. It had to be reliable for a long period of time and look…I don’t know what word to use…well, in a way that people passing by the storefront window would want to come in and see it.
The result was achieved. People even crossed the street just to see it.
Around 200 dolls were placed on the wall. A structure was created beforehand for attachment, as the plaster significantly weighed down the construction, and plastic did not mix well with the plaster mixture. The structure would slide down the wall, not having enough time to dry.
The process was quite time-consuming, not only because of the number of elements involved.
Another big task was to clean the surface of excess plaster, level it, sand it down, and prepare it for painting.
The painting was done with an airbrush using paint that was almost white, with a delicate pink hue.
