Generating pictures for an IT blog using a neural network
Writing blog posts takes a lot of time, especially when the topic is serious, requiring research and exploration, rather than just a step-by-step guide on how to do something in 10 easy steps.
And of course, there is the task of selecting photos to accompany the written material. Not screenshots, but a header photo for the post. Searching for images on the internet is the fastest, but also the most unsuccessful option. In addition to copyright issues, styles will vary, as well as colors, sizes, and compositions. It will be a mishmash of different elements.
Ideally, it would be best to create your own images by drawing, painting, or photographing them. However, this reduces productivity and makes it increasingly difficult to release new material.
I decided to try generating photos for my blog using a neural network. The topic itself is interesting, although generating images from a text description is not the most optimal way to do it, to say the least.
It seems illogical, given all the limitations of language, to describe in words what needs to be depicted when we are used to using images to convey what cannot be described in words.

The task of generating images for an IT blog turned out to be not just interesting, but rather an art project. Transferring IT concepts into artistic images and styles understandable for a neural network. And doing it not directly, not straightforward, but subtly, using abstractions, allegories, and concepts.
Besides the practical task of getting images for posts, there is an additional layer of meaning that is interesting in itself. How would a neural network see this? I think it’s just more fun than dry pictures with infographics and diagrams.
